Hello All,

Just back from 10 days leave about 1-hour ago. Need to do some reading to catch up with the latest threads.

I have downloaded and installedd the new release (18/10/2004). I de-installed old version on both PPC and PC and deleted ALL associated directories on both machines manually before installing. I Installed "Setup.exe" from the zip, then also installed "PPLSetup" as well. I don't know if this is the correct (and/or necessary process), but I am pleased to report that my GPS program compiles and runs fine from the PIDE as well as compiling and running from PPL on the PPC

As you can imagine I have not done any other testing as yet, but thought I would at least report this much back to the forum.

BTW: PointOfLight - I did some adoce coding in PPL while on leave ... I have advanced on my previous attempts and have some new code and some questions ... I will share it with you directly once I get things sorted out here .... maybe tomorrow

Edit: 11:30UTC 19/10

I can also confirm that my piece of adoce code also run OK.

However the "PPL" icon that is created on the desktop during installation fails with windows error message:
"This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down". I am running Windows 98.

cheers

Kornalius,

For the last few builds, I have been having some trouble using DEBUG. I just can't get it to stop on any breakpoints. Is anybody else having the same problem?

What I was doing instead, I included the console to write some debug info to. This works well, but I can't get the project to close. I have put a ShutConsole in the WM_Close message of the WinProc, so I think the problem must be where I am including the InitConsole. Should it go in the WM_InitDialog message code or somewhere else to be able to close the project?

Brad

Yeah, I have to work on this. Don't worry it will be back next release.
