It was a clone. It was not based off the original Warcraft source, it's like the FreeCraft project, except a lot stupider.

What IS FreeCraft, it's an open source War2 engine that has compatibility with the War2 files.

By the way, found this again, it's made quite a bit of progress since I last checked.

Uses SDL so I'd forget about a WinCE port. I'll have to take a look at running it on Familiar Linux.

Pretty nice... it uses SDL, though. There's no good SDL implementation for WinCE, is there?
