MOD Music Files

Hey, I've got a quick question for those of you selling games commercially - where do you get your MOD (or what ever format .jxs, .it, .s3m, ...) background music files from? Do you just take them from archive websites online and hope that no one sues you for it, or are there places that you can get freeware MOD files? Or do you use some kind of conversion program to create them from MIDI files, which seem to be easier to find (legally). I'm just kind of curious what those of you who don't compose and sequence your own tracks do (not really an option for me, as a consequence of gross musical ineptitude).
