program needed

program needed

I have a client with a daycare business that would like to have parents sign their children in/out using a PPC. She needs a program where she can add and remove kids from the roster (maybe even have a separate "page" for each child), have it time/date stamped, and then transfer the info over to computer. Maybe if it can save it as a word doc file, or similar. It would need an area where the parents can use the stylus to actually sign the screen to sign them in/out.
Oh, and the resulting files would need to be printable.
If anyone is feeling up to the challenge (if they even feel it is challenging) please contact me at
<a href="mailto:tguthrie556@earthlink.net">tguthrie556@earthlink.net</a> for more information.
Thanks

That would be cool to, since she is looking into getting the 5555, which has the fingerprint scanner as well. Do you think it is possible?

Well, I'm guessing that HP has an API created for the scanner... it SHOULD just be a matter of getting a reference scan and storing it, then something along the lines of passing that reference scan, plus a real-time scan, to some comparison function in the API.

Of course, I'm assuming such an API exists, but it seems a reasonable assumption.

Tell you what... I'll go have a look at HP's developer site and see what I can find out. If it's possible, I may go ahead and do the app.
