I pulled all my products from PG about a month ago... wasn't worth the time and effort when the sales were so low (even low as compared to Handango and Clickgamer). Based on this eMail, which I also recieved, I have another good reason to think that decision was a wise one. I can only hope we are all misunderstanding it, but if not, this is indeed bad news for all developers trying to make a buck on PG.
...and so I said to Mr. Gates: "$640 billion should be enough for anyone!"

Update: We received word from Matt at PocketGear that they would continue to absorb chargebacks for fraudulent credit cards under the new plan. Now, what exactly that means, I don't know. Either PocketGear has, within the last month or so, decided to begin absorbing chargebacks, or we've (Pocket PC Studios) been incorrectly charged for them over the past two years. We are trying to get this clarified.

Crosswind technique: "Using your peripheral vision, react to body movements, gasps, groans, and shouts from the other side of the cockpit, and always remember that it's better to be lucky than good."

 Well raise your rates all you want, the market will even itself out. I don't mind the increase to 30%, but at least do us all a favor and quit nickle and diming developers, just make it a flat 30% and quit the BS fees and chargebacks. If a portal site is charging this high of rate they should absorb all costs involved with the transaction, including any returns and chargebacks.
