Wow, you are the KING of multiple posts. Congratulations.

The XScale is "backwards compatible" with the StrongARM - compile for the StrongARM and the code will run on an XScale, albeit in a non-optimised fashion.

The only XScale optimized SDK is for WinCE.NET, so if you want to program for current devices, PocketPC2k2, then use the PPC2k2 StrongARM SDK.

Congrats on quadruple posting a thread, btw.

*miserable refractor posting before I could, pfft. :D*

not my fault! I kept submitting and it kept saying page not found so I waited awhile and submitted a few minutes later and it seemed to work.

1. I read the e740 is not USER flashable... what does that mean?

2. How can't program for ce.net since it has not been released right?

3. At some point someone will release a xscale optimized compiler right?
