I have a 3760 iPAQ PPC2002, the version 4 displays only the menu but but nothing happens except the exit.
The rest is not working ! :(

Finally!

Postby fzammetti » Aug 15, 2002 @ 6:51am

Well, with a great deal of help from Jasper, my graphics library appears to be working across all tested devices. I wasn't all that far off really, but I doubt I would have been able to go that last little bit without his help, so I thank you again my friend! :)

In any case, the original topic of this post was plasma of course... I threw together a simple Plasma Screen Saver. Well, that's how I use it anyway. It's only 10K in any case.

If anyone wants it, here it is:

The archive contains versions for ARM, MIPS and SH3 (although it won't run acceptably on SH3 devices). It should run at a pretty steady 30 FPS (hard-coded to that), on SH3's it barely pulls 20 though.

No source is included, but I wouldn't be against giving it out if anyone really wants it.

If anyone tries this on a 38xx, I'd be very interested to hear if it works or not. I believe it will, but I have no way to test it for sure, that's the one device I'm not so sure about, all others *SHOULD* be fine.

In any case, I hope you enjoy the plasma. I actually do find it quite pretty and even soothing, but I'm easily pleased, so take it for what it's worth!

I'm sorry but it still doesn't work on my E-115. All I see is a black screen. A tap shuts the program down. I'm still waiting to see those pretty plasma colors. Also I tried the Electro electronics utility and that works okay except at startup when the app window does not show itself and I have to go activate it or start it up again(it seems to recognize the running instance and not create another one). Perhaps there is a common problem.

No problem, glad to help. :)

Just tested the screensaver and it's working fine still on my iPaq 3660..
