so, while waiting on some screens of dan's 3d racer, you maybe want to take a look at a small terrain demo...

if you would like to see it running, you may download which includes executables for ARM/MIPS/SH3 and a more-detailed info-file. There's only one thing i wanted to ask for: if you test this little app, please report framerates, experiences and suggestions either directly to this forum or via mail to [url=mailto:pazazzo@gmx.net]pazazzo@gmx.net[/url]

WOW! Above 30 FPS constantly, avg in the 40s. Shouldn't you have made a different thread for this?

Yep, it's very nice.

Goes between about 35 and 50 fps on my iPAQ 36xx.

My only gripe is the lack of a quit button, meaning I had to soft-reset my device... :cry:

sponge: which device did you use for testing ?

refractor: thanks for the hint, i forgot to mention this also in the included .txt file:
to quit, use your C-Button (on an ipaq36xx this should be the record-button, afaik)

So...how much framerate can we expect when this thing gets textures and shading? Textures and shading are the big performance eaters.

Agreed, letting this engine goto waste would be a complete and utter shame.

Looks great! It doesn't quiet work right on my casio e-125 (mips) though:

I could still turn and walk around, though, the display was just a bit messed up.

Sponge: since when did people say "argy" ?
