Hey,
I'd like to be able to draw spites for my games when I have free moments on my PPC - does anyone know of a paint program that's good for doing art on the scale of 16x16 to 32x32? I got really good at iconography in my early DOS days, so I don't need anything too fancy - basically just a grid that I can plot pixels and save the result as a BMP. Since I'm yet to sell a single game, my budget for this paint tool is zero dollars - so if you know of a free one - please let me know! Alternatively, if there is a really good inexpensive program, I might also be interested in that. Alternatively, has anyone writen their own icon editor for this purpose who would be willing to share? Otherwise I suspect I will end up throwing something together in the next couple of days.
