File Associations for "text" files?

I like to use text files for various input and output files. For example, I write to a myapp.log files, I read startup commands from a myapp.cfg file, and I load levels from a name.lvl file.

They're all text files, but on the Pocket PC, only the .log file shows up as a text file.

How can I open and edit (on the Pocket PC) the other files, such as .cfg and .lvl?

I'd like to be able to edit them on the Pocket PC using Notes or even PocketWord, but I can't see those files in their open dialog to open them.

There doesn't appear to be an "open with" option in the file explorer.

And I don't know how to change file associations on the Pocket PC. (Is this possible?)

You can do it the old fashioned Windows way via the Registry, or use something like PocketTweak I believe, or a 3rd party file explorer.

lets you create / edit file associations, however you have to register it first.
