Hi There,

I need help with my x-fighter game compatibility and performance testing on different devices. I'll be glad if someone can test my game on Pocket PC 2000, 2002 and 2003.

Download here : UPDATED : 11-19-03

Few notes on this installer :

1. Enemies are disabled.
2. GX.DLL is not included.
3. The money and weapons are limited. Sell you current weapon to purchase others.
4. Compiled for ppc2002 or lower. I just want to see how it performs on 2003.

Known problem on my testing :

1. If I run this game on my IPAQ 1910 storage card, there are brief pauses on music and animation. But I assume that it's my storage card since I experience the same on other games installed. Running on memory if perfect without any pauses or lags.

Please post your testing result in ths format. You can email me directly at denthorq@yahoo.com or post the results below.

----------------------------------------

1. Your Device and OS : pls be specific
2. Current Frame Rate : get average only
3. Running on SD/CF : yes, are there any pauses?
4. Running on MAINMEMORY : yes, are there any pauses?
5. Button Settings : are there any bugs?
6. Stylus Control : are there any bugs?
7. Comments and suggestions : overall how's the game performance in you device?

----------------------------------------

Thanks in advance ;-)

1. Your Device and OS : ipaq 3835 (PPC 2002)
2. Current Frame Rate : ~42; got it down to about ~35 holding down the fire button and dragging the ship around
3. Running on SD/CF : no cards
4. Running on MAINMEMORY : yes, no pauses
5. Button Settings : if you minimize while holding a button down, it presumes you're still holding a button down when you get back.
6. Stylus Control : Seems ok.
7. Comments and suggestions : looks nice.

1. Your Device and OS : iPAQ 3970 running Pocket PC 2002
Processor Type: Intel(R) PXA250
Processor Revision: B1
Product Revision level: 2.5
ROM Date: 12/20/02
ROM Revision: 2.10.10 ENG
OS Version: Windows CE 3.0
2. Current Frame Rate : 35fps fairly solid, but around 31fps when using the stylus frenetically.
3. Running on SD/CF : n/a
4. Running on MAINMEMORY : Right when the credits begin to scroll in after loading, there is a slight pause, right about at the 'R' in the first "Redentor."
5. Button Settings : I was able to map buttons successfully. However, one thing I found while playing and moving the d-pad everywhere, is I could get it into a state where I had e.g. right pressed, but the ship was not moving. If I then moved to e.g. up it would go up, but if I went back to right it stopped. It may be that an event is being gobbled somehow resulting in weird state.
6. Stylus Control : Seems to lag a bit. I mean, of course it lags if I move faster than the ship can move. Frame rate affected (though I hear this is normal with Pocket PC).
7. Comments and suggestions : Installed into default location. Appears in games folder, but icon is not visible. Looks good.

Did you try to soft reset your PPC? How about the other games installed? Are they working fine?

Actually, I know that icon issue on how to do it for Pocket PC. I do it on all of my games so it should work fine too. If you dont mind, can u try my 'battle of the generals'? Let me know if this post same problem. Soft reset first ur ppc. Thanks.
