Lol. :) While we don't get cheque fees in our country, double taxation laws between the US and my country (the Philippines) deducts our cheques an additional 15% aside from the cut these merchants get from us. That means we roughly get 55% off Handango sales and 65% off Pocketgear. :( Sometimes I wish I should have lived somewhere in the US.

I'm not sure about purchasing from another city but in our case, the Philippines has no "tax treaty" w/ the United States (as mentioned by Handango), thus we are liable for double taxation. I'm not sure why Handango does this and Pocketgear doesn't though. I still haven't discussed w/ them this matter yet. :)

As far as receiving money goes, Handango and Pocketgear has the option of transferring the payments to you electronically so it will reflect to you account w/in 2-3 business days (w/c is better than cheques because of the clearing time) BUT, they charge a nominal bank fee for this. In our case, Handango's bank charges $40 per transaction so we usually have them wire us the money if we have more sales for that particular month.
