You specify all that in the .inf file, which is used to build the cab.

Ahh great that set me on the right path :D

Is there a way to have those values in the .inf generated from visual studio 2003 automatically when you hit the "build cab file" button? if not i'll just read only my .inf so vis studio doesn't overwrite my changes :?

Hopefully someone else can help you out. I've never used VS 2003 to automatically generate CAB files. I've always done it by hand (which, BTW, is a huge pain in the butt).
