Is there a way to have those values in the .inf generated from visual studio 2003 automatically when you hit the "build cab file" button? if not i'll just read only my .inf so vis studio doesn't overwrite my changes

Hopefully someone else can help you out. I've never used VS 2003 to automatically generate CAB files. I've always done it by hand (which, BTW, is a huge pain in the butt).
