Here's a screenshot of the adventure game engine I've been working on, built upon the ol' EasyCE library. All the artwork you see is just place-holder stuff. She's a cartoony render of a free model I downloaded, as is the backdrop. Just thought you guys might be interested.

This is the adjoining room.

This shows the ripple-search tool. In the absence of a mouse, the user can simply tap on the screen and generate ripples. These identify which objects on the stage can be interacted with.

Here's what she thinks when you tap on the box in "examine" mode.

Finally, here's the settings screen. Pretty simple right now!

So what game am I making with this? A grand fantastical epic, the first chapter of which is called "Firmament". If anyone's keen to know, I can tell you a bit more about the plot, characters, etc.[/img]

Sounds awesome! I was planning on making a similar game, but mine's really far off from even being started :). Looks like a great game, though! Any projected release date or pricing?

haha you guys are jokers. Actually any girls in the real game will be more healthily proportioned. This one looks like she's anorexic. They'll also be rugged up pretty heavily because it's a snowy setting for the most part (there goes my audience for the game!). There will be some dazzling winged women in Chapter 2...

Yeah Another World ("out of this world") was a pretty cool game. Probably the reason you're getting that feeling is because I rendered the place-holder art you see to make it look cel-shaded (pretty fashionable these days if E3 is anything to go by).
The adventure game I'm doing has no action element. It's like the old LucasArts or Revolution titles.[/i]
