Take a look at this post right here on PM:



Look down a ways for a post by CPS. He has (as of this writing, still available) an example called ZapPow. I can tell you for me it helped clarify a lot of things, it was probably the single best thing I found when I was writing my own sound library. It's very basic, so on it's own I don't know how useful it is, but as an example to help you on your way, I'd say it's fantastic.

Looks great, except for the sample app doesnt seem to work. It loads, but I dont hear anything when im trying to run the sounds?????

Not sure what the trouble is, it worked for me first time as I recall. Did you copy the WAV files to your device as the documentation indicates? Naturally your tapping the buttons (nothing plays until you do)? Those are obvious, but I can't think of much else.
