well if it just runs on the vbscript engine its just VB with a different UI. For instance, winsock has a nasty bug in it that you can't fix that splits up packets strangely for no reason. Using this wouldnt get around that unless the winsock API doesn't have that bug and they wrapped THAT and not the VB winsock control. I have no idea but im not shelling out $150 to find out. blah.

NS Basic has never really reached a big audience but if you prefer basic to C it's fully functional. I used PocketC for over a year to write Space Trker so I don;t have much knowledge of NS Basic as I evaluated it before selecting PocketC. Now I've converted to real C++ using eVC. I can only edit on the handhend & need the PC to compile.
If you just want a bit of programming fun then NS Basic will do you well but for a real program you need to thing of eVB or better still eVC++

Conan,
The NS Basic website cites NSB being as fully functional as eVB. You say that for real programming to switch to eVB or eVC. Is there something that NSB lacks that isn't obvious to the novice programmer?? For the price, I would want something that does everything it claims to do. Any insight would be appreciated.
Here is NSB's comparison:

look, the point is nsbasic is providing a frontend for the vb script dll. just like eVB is. Why pay a lot of money to get the same thing as eVB? I guess the only benefit is being able to develop on the device itself. But without a keyboard, and its small screen, how much fun could that be?
