no matter what I do I cant get the mikmod library to work on an arm device..... can someone please send me a working library (compiled)

no matter what I do it will not load a music (.it) file.... just wont do it (fullstop) get null returned from the load command, meaning it cant "load" the file..., I've an older Mips lib that works fine (not changes to my main program, it just works).... but when I compile the new version it does not work for mips either, since I cant find the old version etc or the code that I built the working mips lib from I was hoping someone would be able to send me a working copy for the ARM device.... and I'll just use what I've got for the mips version. Am I making sence.... anyhow...

the file is LibMikModWinCE.lib resides in the lib_arm folder etc....

plz..... I'm at my wits end....

-thanks.....

Although I haven't looked at it or used in a long time, the port I did of libmikmod should handle .it files just fine. Scroll to the bottom of http://home.earthlink.net/~cps46/ for source.

No worries, I managed to find a copy.... it's made the size about 100k bigger on the exe, but hey with 64mb+ devices now days "who cares"... so thanks to everyone who helped me out, its now fully firing, btw if you want a copy of the lib send me an email!

(.it's are way cooler than .mods) ;-)

yer, they sound great, with mikmod you can select as many tracks as you require, since my game is not to graphic intensive, I can mix 6 channels no worries... but you can easly mix more... Im running a 11kHz std, with a setting option of going to 22Khz (if you have a faster system ARM+, works ok on my E125)

.its and .s3m's are just so much better than .mods...

Actually that was my reason for wanting to know - I don't fancy composing things in MOD format! I'd like to just convert from MID with soundfonts.

Hey Dillrye, are you using MODPlug tracker to make the conversion? Or another technique?

.it is the famous Impulse Tracker, kinda similar in sound only to MODs. Generally accepted as being more versatile than MOD files.
