I want to make a game like decent freespace you know first person view space combat simulator. My question is where do you start in developing ppc games i know regular c and win32 api ive also played with vb and directX 8 sdk, I know ppc uses gapi not directx. But where should i start, is there some gapi tutorials or somthing? Is there any diffrence between win32 api and c and ppc and c?

There are only small differences between win32 C and ppc C. Things like UNICODE being required in WinCE is one. Another is that WinCE is much slimmer, less functions. GAPI is only for direct access to the video memory and button inputs, nothing more. You'll either need to get a WinCE plug-in (which I don't know about, ask Dan East) or the eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0 (free download, or s&h only) from Microsoft's website.
To order it.
For info.

Is it true that it only runs on 2000/NT?

Only the emulator runs on Windows 2000/NT due to the UNICODE issue I believe. However, Visual Tools and the SDK's all work competely in Win98/ME as well.

I think it requires Win98 R2... it won't run on any of my Win98 machines.

OOPS! I meant Win98 SE... I was looking at my 3D Studio Max R2 box while I was typing that last post.

I cannot find my 3D studio max. My brother took it with him, the little thief, on his last visit. Aww man. It was R3.
