The levels seems to be huge prerendered images. I think the game would use up too much space and too much memory.

// F

Ya, sickman2k, why not get rid of the @GMX.NET part of your name. The board provides quick and easy links to get to your email address anyway.

ok then memory wouldn't be an issue, but I bet storage space would. Besides, the source isn't available, neither are the graphics available to freely use (even if you manage to rip them from the game). I would say HoD is not possible as it looks now...

which is understandable. HoD is one of those games that took ages to develop, beeing delayed quite some time. I don't think they want to just give it away. Compensation is generally nessesary.

i dont think any companies would ever do this. if they wanted their game ported to pocketpc they'd do it and get the cash for themselves.

with the exception of doom, quake etc which have had the source code released anyway

Eric Chahi was the main programmer responsible for HOD. He created Another World (aka Out of this World), which was one of my favorite games for the Amiga. It was cutting edge and very cinematic for its day (before mass storage, when a game had to fit on a few floppys at most). I bet a game like Another World would be very conducive to the storage restraints of a Pocket PC...

Dan East

of course i didn't mean them to give it away for an apple and an egg.

but there are not many big companies who developp for ppc. but ionsides argentum was the first game to me that looked very professional so i was only loud thinking and maybe at the end amazzing studios could work together with skilled ppc coders and they earn the money together or so.
so good to port as well.
another wourld was verctor based grafix. very nice and very slow and very smoth and very fast.
it was on one disk if i remeber right.
so
