I have uploaded a little tech demo of something I have been working on tonight: 3D combined with 'cleartype'. Basically I use LCD subpixels to smooth the jaggies of flatshaded polygons.
The technology can be read about everywhere on the internet, but a quick explanation won't hurt: The pixels on the iPaq and other devices consist of red, green and blue 'subpixels'. All on is white, all off is black. Just red on means red.
A white block is thus: red, green, blue, red, green, blue, all on. But, we can make this block 1/3rd pixel wider by turning one extra 'subpixel' on.
Take a look at the demo, you'll see it works quite well.

Enjoy.
