Game Design Docs?

Game Design Docs?

Postby Michael Y » Jul 31, 2002 @ 4:38pm

Can people submit game design docs for others to work on? I think I remember seeing an announcement that addressed this but I couldn't quite find it in the many pages of this forum. I'd like to do such a thing because I want to be involved in a game, but I can't program (well, I can do C++ console apps and some OOP), draw (now Randall comes and attacks me), or compose... :)

Sure! You'll have to be aware of the fact that we are very picky. :) Here are some guidelines:

We prefer simple games at the moment. Mainly because complex games are bigger (Kb's) and less likely to be completed.
Games for Overloaded must make use of the fact that the devices that we target are 'connected'. We didn't always do this for our first batch of games, but we definitely need games that use the new features.
Games that can be played by multiple players simultaneously are interesting. :) More about this soon, something big is coming up (September).

Also note that a 'good rip' is 'good'. Original ideas are more rewarding and all that, but in the end, we want to sell stuff. ;)
Give me some good data and
I will give you the world
