I need HELP!!!

I installed qake for the pocket pc and everything seems fine. I open the game and the demo plays...i click the menu button, but i cant select 'new game' or any of the other selection...Please help!

Press up and down with the D-Pad and push in on the action button to start the game. The record button exits out of the menu
