Quake II Skin loads but Q2 won't run

I ran the exe and the Quake II skin loads and just shows gray where Quake II should be showing up it will stay for 15 seconds then go back to where I tapped the exe and every once in a while it will just go in and freeze. I am running on an Overclocked casio E-125 and it runs about 206 MHz Do you guys have any idea what I am doing wrong?
