Passing command lines to quake

Passing command lines to quake

Postby OrBy » May 26, 2001 @ 10:48am

i am try to mess around with passing command lines to pocketquake and having some issues that i cannot figure out.
i have quake on a storage card and am trying to pass the command line to use the 16 mb of memory (i have anywhere from 18-20 mb free) because it currently only is using like 11.9mb. (it reports this when it loads)
i goto the run on my casio and type in:
"\Storage Card\Quake\PocketQuake.exe"
and i can get it to launch - with out the "'s it does not work.
but when i try:
"\Storage Card\Quake\PocketQuake.exe -heapsize 16000"
it cannot find the file.
and when i try:
"\Storage Card\Quake\PocketQuake.exe" -heapsize 16000
it still only uses 11.9mb of memory...

what gives? am i missing somthing? is -heapsize (kbytes) not correct? i have like 21mb of free program space on my casio e-125. i remember reading some where that pocketquake was suppose to use 16mb automatically when it had the chance - why is it not even doing that?

i think we should add a front-end to quake, so when u load, like DoomCE, you pick what to load. Except on this we'd have like what command lines stuff to load, what mods, yes paul was workin on this. But i doubt he'll ever finish.
