Any chance of a SH4 version of Quake

Any chance of a SH4 version of Quake

Is there any chance that a compile could be done for the SH4 processor for the Compaq Aero 8000?

what the hell does the Dreamcast version have to do with anything besides it was ported from a computer to the heavily modded wince dreamcast. It doesn't help with anything. and you can download the entire thing anywhere on dalnet.

The dreamcast has an SH4 processor running at 200 mhz with lots of cooling.  a group of taiwanwese developers ported it, my friend got a copy and i sorted it out to be the full verison and burned him a CD.<br>The same file might work the sh4 hpc pro.<br>Rob<br>so there

i'm doubting it, considering the ported it for use on completely different hardware. The code, if we had it from that still would only help so much, because we need direct access to the h/pc screen with some form of api, which means you'd need to convert all the display routines, and considering we don't have a video accel. like on a DC i'm doubting it. We already have working code, just need to change the display alogorithms to work on a H/PC.

That will be chucking along at 0.7 FPS with a display that large and a processor that slow.
