Hey.. the AMD Palimino's are starting to come out.. they are lower heat than Athlons.. and p4's are crap. Athlon 1.33ghz's outperform the p4 1.7's in quite a few tests.

yes but dual upped to 2.0 ghz, thats 4 ghz i don't think anything out can touch that.

The problem with the dual proc system is that you need a dual proc OS. That would be WinNT, Win2k, Linux, and BeOS. None of which can play the original QUake (well, maybe Win2k, but it's an iffy proposition.)<br><br>Trust me, the doubling of megahertz is not worth it when you can't use it much. (That and dual proc systems are a pain in the butt to build the first time you do it. Hint: Get really, really, REALLY good memory.)

with GL quake i'm pretty sure u can run on WIn 2k

WinQuake runs great on Windows 2000. I've not tried GLQuake. The original DOS Quake, like most games that directly access the video card, won't work with W2k.<br><br>Dan East

LOL, last time I checked I was getting 110fps with quake II at the same resolution (I would have tested quake III but I dropped the cd behind my dresser and don't want to get it out LOL)

Ya? Well, I dropped my Quake2 CD behind MY dresser, and I really really want it back! I miss Quake2 so much. I used to kick ass at railing biatches with my 300ms ping (no tildes).

hello fake me. God can someone ban that ip. It is the same one, they were sitting righ next to me when they posted. I punched them twice then we played CS and i destroyed them so it was okay.
