I've used notepad to edit entities, flags and textures, sound... simple stuff like that. I wouldn't venture into editing the brush coordinates though. Not without seeing some kind of graphical reference.

I tried opening my map with the pocket ppc notepad but it wont list it as a readable file, and pocket note doesnt let you open files by searching for them like a regualr pc.

It won't do much good to open the *.map file on your PocketPC and edit it. You couldn't recompile and run it.

Anyway, you can modify it in Pocket Notepad if you want. Just open pNotepad and select "open" from the menu. Initially, it will only display *.txt files, but you can change that to *.* (all files).

This is how I edit my autoexec.cfg files on the PocketPC, and you can pretty much do the same with any file that isn't an executable.

PocketNotepad by TillanoSoft ( http://tillanosoft.com ) I don't know if it is still free, or if there are better Notepads out there. This one works so I have kept it.

It is pretty much like the standard Windows Notepad- File>>Open opens a dialog box. From there you can choose the directory (All folders or Templates) and the file type (*.txt or *.*)

I use it to edit simple files like autoexec.cfg, and write HTML, JavaScript and EVEN SHORTCUTS!

It is probably one of the most used apps on my PPC- I'll never use PocketWord unless I am forced to by gunpoint.
