Silly newbie questions (Casio E-125)

Silly newbie questions (Casio E-125)

Postby AlphaWolf » Jul 5, 2001 @ 2:10pm

First, managed to get the program working on my E-125. Very nice job! Very impressive.

A few silly newbie questions (I apologize if they've been asked before, I didn't see them when I scanned the folders), if you don't mind:
1) How do you fire a weapon on the E-125?
2) What commands can go in the autoexec.cfg?
3) Do you build the autoexec.cfg using a text editor & then copy it to the id directory?
4) Any hints for speeding up the frame rate?

Thanks,
AlphaWolf

1. By default, I think its the action button(push in the wheel on the side of your Casio). You can easily change this in the controls menu (under options). Select Attack, push action buton then the button you want for attack.

2. Any quake console command that you want to be ran at startup can be here.

3. yes, just open it in Notepad and make any desired changes

4. A while ago there were posts on "speed cfgs", they sacrifice visual quality for a little bit of speed. Personally, I'd rather play on PQ optimized maps than loose lots of quality and still run quite slow.

(damn I hate that "remove first characher of post if its a number" bug :)Last modification: esw - 07/05/01 at 17:42:28
