If you do get it ported please let us BE owners know about it(brighthand forums?), but from what I know you have to work around the 4mb memory limit which hasent been done yet.

Die, Palm, Die. If that offended you, then get rid of your Palm OS device.

Dont we know it, Casio has done this to us, given us BE users a crippled WinCE (to provide incompatabilities so you have to buy custom programs) and that 4mb program limit (just to prevent us from getting anything worthwhile) of course these are my opinions but a lot of us at the brighthand BE300 forum are working on releasing the BE's power. We've even got a growing petition on Casio to get the WinCE4 OS.

Thanks, it will probably take some time before it would work but we might be on the verge of breaking the 4mb barrier, and its always nice to know someone out there might be working on the BE port.
Thanks paul.

from my limited knowledge, Casio saved money by not having to comply with PocketPC2k2 standards + the license costs, they dident have to include things like a external speaker, mic, etc... But the hardware is quite powerful, yet purposely limited by the casio software.
They have many excuses for what they did, but we are trying hard to release its true potential.(Of course I'm mostly watching)

Why the fuck would someone buy one though? The em500 or maybe its the e125 is only 329 thats 30 dollars more, there must be some real tightwads around.

haha, I think some places sell it for even $150 now (with rebates and stuff I guess), oh yea no IR port too, seriously I can do without these features, but its all about the compatibility (very limited freeware, I believe casio makes software Developers sell their products for a minimum of $5 even for shit that takes like 5min to program, so just about everything we get is from porting). Its so possible to just pop in a new OS and boom we have a pocketPC Casio has shown its possible already with screenshots, only to say that were gonna get the same gimped OS, thats what pissed many of us off into starting the petition.
