The actual connectivity - BlueTooth, 802.11b, USB, Ethernet, Serial, irDa, doesn't matter. As long as you establish TCP/IP then you can do pretty much whatever you want. The lower bandwidth of serial and irDa can pose problem is some cases, but it still should be fast enough for Quake. I have played PQ over Ethernet and 802.11b. It works perfectly with both.

Regarding BlueTooth - I have been very disappointed with 802.11b's range. BlueTooth is supposed to be even worse. So I would not expect BlueTooth to connect devices unless they are in the same room.
