BOTS - PLEASE HELP!!!

can somebody please help me work out how to install bots (of any kind) on the pocket quake (ipaq 3850). i do have a registered version of quake. i can install maps but whenever i try to addbots i receive the message "unknown command ADDBOTS" - what the feck am i doing wrong???

Did you download one of the bots that's known to work with PocketQuake? They're available for download from PocketQuake's websites in the "mods" section.

The addbot command doesn't work because that's not a standard Quake command. You have to setup aliases and then bind keys for "new" commands to function with a mod. I'd recommend downloading the Reaperbot mod. I use it and it's pretty fun. You can download it here:



Just carefully read over everything and make sure you check out the autoexec.cfg. Add alias addbot "impulse 205" to your main autoexec.cfg and then bind the key for it. Make sure you have progs.dat and whatever else is necessary for the mod to run. If you need more help just email me and I'll see what I can do.
