>>UPDATE<<

I finally figured out how CE3 shortcuts work :)

This means no more crazy *hacks* to run mods like RocketArena, RailArena, ReaperBot, Omnicron, and plain old bare bones fightin' monsters Quake. :)

I'll start a new "Mod" thread along with shortcuts for launching them.

Woohoo, kiss the command-lines/Run Prompt goodbye!

999, I thought the problem we had was shortcuts, wasnt the shortcuts themselves (i use 'pocketshortcut' for that) but the fact that command line options are no longer supported in PQ? But i havent got 0.0.6 yet anyways...

Last modification: Paul - 04/26/01 at 00:52:12

If we get Pocket QuakeOn realeased everyone can get that, making mods much easier to use - i can just put each mod in a pak for them, they can put it in a folder under \Quake and its done.

It's a rail :)

It's using particle effects similar to Quake2's rail particle effects, only really tamed down :P

Okay, you can download the RailArena files !

Installation is pretty simple provided you read the included txt file.

Also, there is no SH3 pak file. If any SH3 user can be so kind as to post their button button configuration, I can make an SH3 pak file, otherwise, you're stuck setting the keys each time.

Until I can make a pak file-
Impulse 100 = addbot
Impulse 150 = Begin Match

Make sure to add a bot FIRST before begining the match ;)

All I need to know is what the general movement and fire keys are for SH3 :)

You see, I can't seem to get -basedir to work right for some reason, so I've come up with the work around of placing the autoexec files within the mod pak file. Once I get the key settings, I can make an SH3 pak file. Otherwise, SH3 owners will have to setup their keys each time they play.

sorry, i'm still not getting it. cant you just download the sh3 version and use that config?

so do i send you my config that i've customised or a list of the AUX buttons, the commands i have bound to them and their physical positions on the device?

anyways... what does the 53# mean in your railarena shortcut?
Last modification: Paul - 04/26/01 at 13:56:32

I *NEED* to know what keys are used to play on SH3 machines aka

bind "JOY1" "+attack"
bind "AUX3" "+moveleft"
etc
etc
etc

The reason is, I'm making a mod pak, which has to unbind the keys depending on which mod its going to play. Now I have made mips and arm configs, because I know what they start off with, I'm clueless as to what the base settings are on an SH3, capice? ;)

As for the #53, well, that's where I figured out how CE3 shortcuts work. For instance:

#24/I Need SH3 Key Binds

24 denotes how many characters are in that command-line, including the number 24, the #, /, as well as all the spaces.
