I am trying to get in contact with the frikbot author. He hangs out at his channel on irc, if you want to go there the server is irc.gamesnet.net and the room is #qc. Apparently they still play Q1 all the time. And maybe I can get the original author to port it for us.

I thought of something else to that could increase speed, the skins of the bots could be slowing us down, perhaps some less detailed, more basic skins are in order.

I've looked over the source, but I don't know alot about QuakeC. I am not even sure if a conversion like that would work, but it sounds good.<br><br>When two (definately 3) Frikbots start turning 999's RA maps into a slideshow then there is something seriously wrong.<br><br>There are many bots that are better than the Reaper. At this time I am not concerned with "human-like bots"... I just want something to shoot at- so I blow up Reapers.<br><br>So yeah, it would be nice to have a PPC bot.<br><br>Last modification: randall - 06/27/01 at 02:00:30

You didn't know that, theres still a hardcore group of gamers that play Quake 1 all the time. TF still has 30-40 servers up. They play it alot. And they are good as shit and they wil ldestroy you. Its kind of depressing how incredibly good they are.

Damnit Chick, you ruined my thread! Reall though, talk about your clan in a seperate thread this one is taken. Now I have talked to the author of frick bot, he only seemed semi-interested. I can of course understand this considering that he doesnt have a PocketPC. The fact that he would be the first person with a bot customized for PocketQuake seemed to interest him though. So my plan is:<br>A) Someone here please work on his code so it runs nice and fast.<br><br>B) If you dont know enough about coding, POLITELY ask the author to do it. If you pester him or piss him off in any way we will get nowhere. Just ask, if he says no then drop it.<br><br>Sound like a plan?

Or!   Ask Dan East really politely to work on the code if we end up pissing the Bot author off.

Ya dan told me about the new prog. Its code named, "crappy program designed to waste time". A.K.A something moose made.

Actually his new program turns your IR into an Infanto-Ray. Anyone you point it at and fire is instantly turned into a baby of about 3 weeks give or take a few days.<br><br>Unfortunately, Dan has hit a snag, as the Casio's IR is weaker (albeit faster) than the Casios of old. This means you have to pratically touch your target with the Casio. SH3 is slow, but it works, and the Palmax works fine as well.<br><br>I've been beta testing this on myself, as the effects only last a few minutes. It's pretty cool, and worth the 20 bux. <br><br>A great party trick.<br>~<br>
