"While it is running, the stinger buttons and joystick are translated into key presses (including simulating the built-in buttons). You should be able to play any game on your iPAQ using this controller."

.

Anyone wanna try this with PQ? heh, heh :)

pocketgamer.org has some info on that.

"Larry Bank has completed the work started by Russ Smith on a freeware utility that allows you to connect a Stinger joypad to your iPAQ. You can find all the details, including the download link, in this Brighthand thread. For those wondering about what cable to use, the $26 RS-232 Serial Cable from Compaq DirectPlus is apparently a good deal (thanks to R K for pointing it out in this thread)."

Last modification: Chris Edwards - 07/11/01 at 09:45:05

FF rules. I hate FF, but loved the movie. So, if you're a big time FF fan, the only thing similar is it's reliance on spirituality, life, love and death. Yep, the basic ingredients for another tediously long FF game, but as a movie, it works much better.

Stinger... WTF? Why are these controllers so hard to find in stores? I checked every electronic store in my area, and the only gravis pads they had were the kind that looked like PS pads, Famicom pads, and some Eliminator series (not stinger). I've got my serial cable all ready to go, just no danmed Stinger!!!

Who's idea was it to focus on such an oddball controller in the first place? They should have picked a really common pad, like those danmed PS look-alikes!!!
::
Great, maxed out my CC over at Tronix on import games, and got no room to order a Stinger from staples... ARGH!!! Well, at least I'll still be playing some form of portable StreetFighter this week ().

You must defeat my Dragon Punch to stand a chance against Sheng Long.
