Gzip Problem

Postby DMBFan » Sep 18, 2001 @ 6:06pm

I can’t get the friking gzip to load on my computer! I go to gzip.org, download gzip in a zip format, and I get all of these weird little files in the zip! No .exe or the like. What is the problem!? I just want quake on my pocket pc!
What a horibble website, gzip.org is! Arggg

Did you read the readme.txt file? Because you can use it in the GZIP format. In fact, it's the prefered method of playing Quake, since the GZIP file is only 8Megs, and unGZIPPED it is 13Megs

You don't need to unGZIP it, but if you REALLY want to, download WinRAR (And uninstall that WinZip garbage). www.winrar.com

And the Quake.exe should be in /quake. Did you READ the directions at all? And what exactly IS a DMB?

It was our pleasure, DMB. You and you alone have brought life to these meaningless boards; sunshine into each of our lives; happiness into the lonliness of the PocketPC world; laughter into a place of deafening silence; I thank you from the depths of my heart.

~
