Awesome, Thanks Randall :)

Have you had a go on all the maps yet? I've tried like 3 so far, the first one being the easiest for me to bust tricks on.

The readme file states that you can bust tricks just riding off the curb, but I can't figure it out.

How do you go on to the next stage? my em500 goes onto the end screen after a stage and does nothing else, just stays there
Rob

ok, I tried out his mod and its pretty cool. Problems I encountered: I had to modify the config for my @migo(of course) and the link that was supplied was no good, after editing it in notepad and changing the "/pocketquake" to "quake/pocketquake" it worked. I would also like to note that the music rules:)

Read the "readme.txt" file guys ;)

You can add a bot with the "QuakeGuy" icon, and then start a points competition by pressing the "Q" icon.

To change maps, bring up the console and type:
map kfq2
the maps go kfq1-kf10, so when u want to try out another level, bring up the console, press Up on the control pad to bring up u'r last entered text, and change the last two numbers.

To start the game, make sure you use this:
-game skate +map fkq1
u can substitue fkq1 for any of the other available maps.

Once in the map, press the buttons described above to start the match, otherwise it's a freerun to practice your moves.

I've only done a backside boardslide on a curb once... I can't seem to do it again.

If you are real fast with the buttons and have big air, you can pull off the backside 360 with my config.

Also, you can turn while in the air. Unfortunately you can't land switchstance/fakie, so my BS 180 indy was executed perfectly, but the landing was pretty lame.

OK, its about time to show a little bit :D
I really have to tell y'all IPaq folks, that in this mod the good ol' cassiopeia is rocking da house!
I'm fucking able to push 4 hardware buttons the same time!!!!!!!

example: I push the up key at the scrolling wheel for accelerating, the same time i can now push the down key on my DPad (!!!!!) to jump! while holding those 2 buttons down i can now press any of the trck-keys for doing a move!
Hell, i can even accelerate (using scrolling wheel), turn in one direction (using a hardware button), jump (using DPad) and fucking do a TRICK (using another hardware button)

CASIO U RULE!!!!

ok thats the good message:

now here are my questions:
(999 maybe u remember that im not the king in using the configs)
(and no, i dont wanna use the settings above :)

so far i was only able to pull off a simple kickflip! which keys are the tricks now?
like "action" = kickflip
(and YES i read the readme, and A and B dont work)

and another thing: Using the standard ingame options defining new key settings only work as long as i dont quit the game, so: how do i save my keys. is modifying the config the only way?

thats it!
pleeze help me, thx

the SIP doesn't work properly on Casio. It is a known bug and nobody knows what causes it exactly.

Edit the autoexec.cfg file to remap your buttons. If you spend a little time studying the currently mapped buttons you'll be able to figure it out.

BTW, if you look at the new config, you'll see
alias "+indy" "+trick1"
alias "-indy" "+jump;wait;-jump;+attack;wait;-trick1;-attack"

It looks confusing, but really all it does is jump, attack and trick1 simultaneously. If you mapped each one of those to an idividual button, and pressed them in that order, you'll be able to pull off an indy grab.

To do an "indy grab to grind to indy out" All I have to do is work with one button: press-release-press-release.

To do it with individually mapped buttons would be a pain if you ask me.

Last modification: randall - 06/11/01 at 11:52:09

Okay, I had a real go with mine and Randall's button configs for this game, and I'm positive, this game just isn't any fun on the PPC *without* Randall's trick scripts.

I'm going to reissue a new zip file with new control bindings.
