I recognise the crystals from Starcraft, but just figured he used them as placeholders since he may not have a texture artist (yet).<br><br>I'd hate to think that Carpe doesn't actually have the talent to create an RTS game and would stoop to "fooling" us with a fake screen shot. So I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt.<br><br>What IS the deal with the Starcraft texures? The map is from starcraft, it's just a RAW image and it's NOT going to be included in the game (but you can make your own custom maps). I will need people to make maps, units and buildings and stuff, but a more formal request will come later with info on how to do it.<br><br>I want it to be more like Command and conquer and starcraft, i never liked civilization.<br><br>So far you can select units, move them around the map. wholly crap master we will be playing STARCRAFT?!!!!! is this a port or did you just make a different engine that is compatible with starcraft maps?

It's a whole new engine made from scratch the only thing i borrowed are the text drawing routines from Jacco since they were a pain in the a$$ to make.<br><br>It is not compatible with any type of maps. This is for three reasons:<br>1) i have no clue of how maps from other games work<br>2) they are probably copyrighted.<br>3) With my approach you can load any map you can think of without the restriction of always using the same map graphics. Hmm... I know this is very far off in the future, but if you need someone to compose music for the game I can do it.  I knew I got that BA in music composition for something  And my parents always said it would go to waste....

WOW, GO CARPE, I love RTS games.  As of right now I am actually on battlenet playing Starcraft.  (if any of you own it, I challenge you!)Way to go!

Yea it looks really sweet...Carp how bout sticking with realistic units like in C&C instead of futuristic units like in Starcraft?  I know it's not that important, but it's more realistic and fun with tanks and choppers.  I can make maps for you when you need me to - I've made some awesome, flawless maps for C&C: Red Alert.

Carp,<br><br>I'm fairly new to programming c+++ but I'll be interested in helping on the SH3 build.<br><br>I get together every Saturday with a group of friends and play games.  We've been playing Starcraft now for the past 3 to 4 years.  One good friend *is* a computer programmer (in fact the head of my company's IT department) and a *major* Palm Pilot user.  He's managed to infect nearly the entire company like some sort of virus.  If a good RTS game is available for PocketPC, he'll buy one today and help program it.<br><br>James
