Dan, how is that fixed point math comming

The reason you can't run Keen or Wolf3D on PocketDos or XTCE is that they require VGA or EGA screen access. I think only Keen I may have handled CGA, which is covered by the current X86 emulators on PPC.

I don't remember, it's been a long time. I do know that I used to run both Wolfenstein and Commander Keen on a 386 SX 20MHz laptop with 2 megs of RAM. Hell, I even got Windows 3.11 running on it, which was a trip. Took 5 minutes to load, but it was the only way to get to Wordpad and work with RTF or .doc files.

good question, i'd say about 3-5Mhz, maybe 6Mhz.. but thats not really the largest flaw with them, the problem is that they emulate an xt machine.. which means it will not be able to run any app or game designed for anything above a 186; literally, it will not run, so dont even try it.

PocketDOS is apparently going to support MCGA at some point in the future, but not EGA/VGA (are you sure about it already having EGA compatibility, Jaybot?!) according to a post in this thread on their support forum:
http://www.purece.com/ubb/Forum28/HTML/000136.html

I can only remember one game offering an MCGA mode, a nifty flying game called Thunderstrike (I think!) - anyone remember it?
