Ryan:

Sorry to burst any bubbles, but my RA hack is simply that, a hack of sorts. The "hack" being the sequential button pressing to avoid having to enter a Command-Line to play (described in RA thread).

Firstly, the Bot engine, Omnicron, is actually running the RA mod. It's not the real RA mod, but a very close rendition, including the infamous MK announcers voice "FLAWLESS VICTORY!".

Secondly, PocketMatrix will be hosting a PocketQuake server, I'm not sure how it will be run however. It can run RocketArena (real version), and anyone can connect, provided they have downloaded my RA maps (3 now). Or, I was thinking PM could run 3 servers, 1 shareware server, 1 registered server which mapcycles thru all the PPC Optmized maps, and 1 RocketArena server. All of these would have to be done outside of QuakeWorld, which might hinder the netplay code a bit.

Anyhow, it's totally possible to setup and join an RA server, just not using my hack.
