is it THAT hard to Quake in 720?!

can someone please explain why is it so hard to develop in the 720 HPC since the processor is the same as iPAQ ?! (<br><br>Can't there be a point of origin in ipaq and what has been done with earlyer versions of Jornada HPC?<br><br>thnks

Yes.  The problem is, while it will easily run on a jornada, that's not the problem, the display routines are complely different for the HPC 2000, because as far as I know, Microsoft didn't include GAPI support for the HPC 2000s, even though the OS is based on PocketPC (WINCE 3.0). <br><br>In other words, the Direct screen access has to be done in an entirely different manner.  So, althought it is possible, all of the display routines would have to be re-written.  And I don't htink Dan has the time to do that right now, However, if somone would like to port it, the source code is available, and this is how the Casio MIPS and SH3 Jornadas were Ported.
