I am not sure if all browsers support these type of pictures, if not you can right click them and "save picture as..", then open em' up on your desktop. All pictures taken in PocketQuake.

Here is a pic from ground level on the "ctf1" map

Here is a pic of the red flag

here is a picture of me JUST before I die.

A shot right after I stold the blue flag, I am being shot at from the right (seen by the blood squirting out)

*Note, apparently no browser supports the images so I changed them to link for download rather than just posting broken images.
Last modification: Matt Keys - 06/18/01 at 18:03:24

Most graphics app allow you to export or save the image as JPEG or GIF. Those are viewable in every browser.

As PCX, people are required to download the file and open it in a graphics app that supports PCX.

In QuakePic3 you are about .3 seconds from death. How are the new configs doing?

what wierd spot would that be? I kept them in .pcx format because when I convert them to gif or jpeg they turn into a darker color making them look bad. Someone suggested for me to get some other software but for now, I will just link to it.

the shortcut should lead to:

/quake/pocketquake.exe

Is that not where you guys put it on your PPC's? Or is that not where the shortcut is leading to?

I don't know why, I think it might have been an early beta that started this, but I have the habit of always putting my PQ.exe in the / directory.

It's also easy to update that way, just have to drop it on the PPC icon and u'r golden.

Sounds pretty lazy to me:)

Well we need to have some kind of standard for where to put the PocketQuake.exe. That was we dont need to go through this whole shortcut deal. So what will it be? what does the read-me say on the subject?

Well, I *think* the readme says you can put the EXE anywhere. Shit, isn't that sad? WE don't even read the README file. Oy!

I think we should make 2 shortcuts for these standard locations:

/quake.exe
/Storage Card/quake.exe

This will keep updating down to a click and a drag and drop (mmmMMMmmm Lazy...). If you're one of those anal everything-in-it's-place types, you'll prolly be making your own shortcut anyway so piss off :)
someone try - you might need the embedded tools unless you've already got the controls installed

you'll need a quakeon.cfg in the windows folder too (i'll change it to LOOK for the file fist so it doesnt crash when its not there)

it should have the following:
/PathToQuakeEXE/PocketQuake.exe
/PathToShortcuts(where you'd like them to be made)
. (just this "." for now, until i alter it)

thats it.

I put pocketQuake in the same directory it would be in on my desktop machine: "\Quake\pocketquake.exe"

I know I can put it anywhere, and it is simpler to write a shortcut if it is in the root directory. but I am one of those anal people that has everything strictly organized.
