A little off topic, but thought someone can help..

I just got a PDA mount for my car today, but Im having a little problem, when I try to leave my ipaq on in the car so I can see maps for driving on it or whatever, it shuts off automatically every 5 min. I went into the battery settings and disabled (unchecked) "turn off if idle for "x" mins" I also disabled the option to turn off the backlight, but for some reason, about every 5 minutes it still shuts off. I checked the battery power because i thought maybe it was just doing this because the battery was low, but its at 75%. Anyone know how to chnage this?

Maybe you should do a soft reset after setting that device. You don't have to on Casios, but it's an idea.

there are two pages.. one for setting the turnoff time for when on power, and one for setting the turnoff for on battery....

i believe that if you set both to never then your ppc should stay on... it's weird.. but try that.

and no.. you don't have to do a soft reset *g*

I know 2 other ppl that have the Ipaqs and they have the same problem. It's just wierd like that i mean who trusts compaq anyway??? LOL. I think there may be a fix for it on the website. Some of the earlier producted models have that problem.
