Ok, I don't have my 720 with me right now (I know, I can't believe it either), but here is what I think might help.

0. Make sure you have the 720 version, if it starts then you probably do.

1. Do you have the latest version? It should come with a visual basic program. Run it, and set the path to the location on the pak0.pak file. (I have never tested Quake w/ pak location changing w/o have the config file, and that might be your problem). Note that pak0.pak should not be included in the path (I don't think. It's been a long time).

2. Try and resend the pak file. It can either be pak0.pak or pak0.pak.gzip. It shouldn't matter.

3. Try to redownload the zipped file from the internet. I know, I have a 33.6 connection, but sacrifices have to be made for Quake. Then retry it. You should download the one from the pq website.

Try these things in order, and if that doesn't help, then maybe there is something that I am missing. Note that I think using the command path editor will do the trick.

Hope this helps.
