The URL is : But nothing they have will work with your device either.

Who manufactures that HPC? I've never heard of it before. Do you know of any software for it? Anything at JimmySoftware.com work? Check PocketGamer.org for just about all PocketPC games, I'm not sure if they have a lot of HPC software listed there, but it's a started. It's got some links to other sites, also.

BTW, don't bother downloading PocketDOS. That method won't work. It emulators a 186 and 286 processor at about 3MHz. It couldn't possibly run Commander Keen, let alone Doom or Quake.

The Z50 is made by IBM. Its a terrific MIPS device, runs I believe at 133 Mhz, great form factor.

Review here:

Anyway, I was able to install and run the new HPC Quake without any problems. Its slow but just barely playable, maybe 3-8 FPS. Uses the top 50% of the screen. When I have a chance I'll try Doom, hoping for better framerate.

HPC Quake was designed for 640x240 displays, but I will change it so it at least centers and blacks the whole screen on devices such as yours. Theres no point bothering to stretch the screen to 640x480 as it'll just be too slow.

Oh yeah, Xads, the Dos emulators emulate roughly at 10% of your CPU speed. A 133mhz HPC will ru roughly equivilent to a 13mhz PC-XT. So even if Quake could run under this environment, it would be around 10% the speed he's getting now. You'll get about 0.5 fps. Highly playable, I imagine...

If you want it to be a bit more playable, you could give the PocketQuake map I made a try. You can get it .
