buy the e310 and also get a 64+mb card while you are at it. I have it and it runs perfectly. they also have a slightly smaller screen than ipaq 38xx devices which leads to sharper displays, plus, its directional button is much much easier to use, being that it is a simple circle, not a fat oval. sound quality is not really great compared to a 38xx, but it is great to my standards. plus, it is small.
