The 2008 Pediatric ICD-9 Coding Flip Chart was designed as a guide for pediatricians, to be used in association with the 2008 International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-9-CM). ICD-9-CM, which has been in use in the United States since 1977, is revised annually. New codes will continue to be added to ICD-9-CM and others deleted as the identification and documentation of diagnosis and disease continue to develop within the health care arena.
The diagnoses and diseases listed in this coding flip chart have been identified as some of the most commonly encountered in pediatric patients and the corresponding ICD-9-CM codes reflect these diagnoses and diseases. However, the ICD-9-CM codes in this tabular chart also may be used to report other diagnoses and diseases not listed here.
This PDA version indexes information by Category, by Code, and by Disease for fast and intuitive navigation to the information you need!
