Is that why there was a sudden uprising in all the movies being distro'd via newsgroups?<br><br>My new dsl sux so bad, it's sickening. I can't get anymore movies... <br>

Actually 999, your probably right. Around the time 2600 first had charges brought against them the MPAA decided to start cracking down. I heard of over 20 rippers in like 2 weeks goin down. Lucky for the people i knew most of the stuff they had was on cds. They took hammers too them as the feds were knockin on the door.  Lately, the MPAA has started to be a real bitch, i mean i've been hassled for the little distro'ing i do with the 4 VCR's i have. Just copying vcd's and distro'in them is realy pissin them off. On there site they say they won't go after bootleg rings with less than 20 vcrs but i have be bugged alot on dal-net lately by people in Reston, VA. which is the location of a big Internet Crimes Unit. fucking bitches LEAVE ME ALONE!!!

It was like all of a sudden I hit gold. The group had over 10k new messages a day, and  always had at least 10 movies online for you to download.<br><br>I nearly filled up my new 40gig HD when I made that discovery.<br><br>I mean noone used Newsgroups for movies that much, only unless you lived in europe and had NIL access to movies newer than "Ghost Dad" or "Leonard Part 6". Now everybody and their mother's are posting movies.<br><br>

Speaking of newsgroups,  Any body know a good free newsgroup server.  I had used a couple once and they were shutdown.  Trying to look for some good newsgroup now.
