Video Recording

Postby hockeydude » Jul 26, 2004 @ 8:39pm

I am getting very frustrated with my TV card and the video recording capabilites of my computer. I am trying to convert some of my old VHS home video's to DVD, and I want to get the quality at the highest level possible. The problem is that for some reason the Audio and Video always De-Sync. I dont know how to resolve this problem. Im recording in Divx/AVI form using the Divx codec and Im trying to record at 720x480 resolution at anywhere from 15 to 30 fps. This has amazing video quality, but about 2 minutes into the video the audio just desyncs. Is there any way to fix this. I thought my new comptuer which has an AMD Athlon XP 2800+ proc, and 512MB DDR Ram would be able to handle a job like this....but so far it hasnt done too well. :(
