It's actually two words. "Damn it." But VI was way off.

quick question about gba

is the screen well lit? if not, are the wormlights etc any good, or is it better to put in your own backlighting?

The screen is good when you have good lighting qualities. The wormlight for GBC worked good for me, so I asume that the GBA would be the same (are they compatible, I think that I will check that out now). As for the backlight, I personly am going to wait untill the warenty expires because you have to cut away part of the case (not a visible part, but still cutting the case) and sodder which would nullify the warenty. Also, I believe that the backlight would be "always-on" due to the type of conection, so that would eat up batteries. I'd say go for the worm light, or try some of the other light gizmos that they have for the gba if you are going to be playing it in the dark.

VI, I've seen kits like that elsewhere that use similar technologies. I personly would just use a worm light. I didn't see that much of a problem with it, and think that, although it is not the best lighting source out there, does the job adiquitly when it comes down to it, and that is all I ask of my light source. I am also interested in how they added a dimmer if their are no external modifications (I think that I must have misread something).

I was gonna post about PortableMonopoly, but VI beat me to it. (BTW their new website is ) From the screen shots and from people I have talked to, that backlight makes the screen comparable to a PocketPC's screen as far as visibility goes.
